Creamy Squash Soup with Apples

2 medium apples, such as Golden Delicious or Gala
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice, plus more for sprinkling
2 cans fat-free evaporated milk, 12 oz each
¼ tsp salt
